Spicy Habanero Sugar

When I’m in the depths of my pepper harvesting season, I can get a little weary of just adding them to sauces, salads, and relishes. I need to get creative to help encourage me onward.

This is one of those exciting recipes I found that is so much fun to use to add a kick to baked goods and candy recipes. It also makes for very unique gifts! Not a lot of people have “Habanero Sugar” in their pantry, but they should. You have to try this recipe at least once.

Tip: The sugar element in these tames the heat quite a bit, but if you’re worried about the heat level, you can definitely tone it down by using any pepper you’d like.
